Chaja Haline Schimel, age 89, a Holocaust survivor, beloved wife of Samuel for 69 wonderful years; devoted mother of Dr. David (Alison) and Susan (Wayne) Schnapp; proud and loving Grandma of Bryan (Jackie) Schimel, Adam (Valerie) Schimel, Andrew (Jacqueline) Schimel, Michael (Caroline) Schnapp, Meryl (David Weiss, fiancee) Schnapp and great grandmother of Zachary, Carson, Brooke, Sydney, Parker and Quinn. Chapel service 2:30 PM today, Thursday July 21, 2016 at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
